ps. muchos love

This is of no relevance whatsoever but I love it all the same!

I want another tattoo now

A few things to look at:
1 J Maskrey - not sure what she's up to these days but I remember her stuff from years ago: they are like sparkly, sequiny sort of tattoo things that you could stick on you (or some were on invisible fabric I think). Very cool anyway! I love the idea of having wings sewn/printed onto the back of a t-shirt!! (Then we can fly away to a world with lots of hot uncomplicated men!)

2 Hilary Laing - very fearless textile designer who just scribbles of all sorts of fabric (well actually I think it's printed scribbles) but even so I just want one of everything on her website (and another tattoo!)

Flat as a ...

Here are the flats which I've done for the t-shirts. I've made patterns for 3 of them but not the vest that you already have the pattern for and the long-sleeved version of the same shape as I thought it would be easier for you to do it working off the pattern you already have.
I know some of them say woven binding but I've thought about this and I really think it would be better to do jersey ones even though it might take longer because some of the necklines are too small for woven.
I've tried to get in contact with my friend but it looks like he's gone AWOL so I'm going to look into ways we can do a web shop. Ooh yeah and sorry I missed your calls - I lost my phone - it was on silent - found it yesterday eve. down the side of the sofa --- 000ps!

Oooh Yeah!

Yeah I totally love Kaffe Fassett - I've got about 4 of his books, he does everything from quilts to knitting and does loads of knitting for the Rowan magazines. I saw an exhibition of his quilts about 4 or 5 years ago at THE AMERICAN MUSEUM near Bath. It's this really old house stuffed with old patchwork quilts amongst other bits. Ooh we should take a trip there..... if I can remember how to get there!!!!

I went to a lecture by this guy with zandra after work today, he was very inspiring and going on about how important colour, embellishment, texture, PATCHWORK and tapestries are. i asked him how he got started and he basically just said "well i'm a cocky american and basically think i am great. believe in yourself, coz if you like your work someone else will. and i just went into vogue one day and put my samples on the table and went bam!!! here i am, hello everyone"
